Identity verification at Wymienbitcoina.pl exchange offices

The Wymienbitcoina.pl network (Brandbit Group Sp. z o.o.) informs that the cantors belonging to the partner network, as obliged institutions within the meaning of Article 2 (1) (11) of the Law on Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing of 01.03.2018 (dz.u. of 2018, item 723) have procedures to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing, as referred to in Article 50 of the aforementioned Law. Any data processing related to applying the AML/CFT Law is authorized under Article 6(1)(c) of the DPA.

This requirement stems from the current legislation, according to which the customer is obliged to present an identity document, i.e., an ID card or passport, and confirm the current place of residence, e.g., by presenting an electricity or telephone bill.
An employee of the exchange office has the right to refuse to carry out the exchange of virtual currency when he cannot apply appropriate financial security measures to the customer.
